3月13日，多位市民报料称河北三河市燕郊镇文化大厦路口发生爆炸。9时许，记者采访当地居民表示，爆炸发生在早上8点前，他听见一声巨响，有楼房发生坍塌。现场发生火灾，大火未扑灭，有消防人员在现场救援。

爆炸现场附近的一商铺店员告诉记者，爆炸发生在文化大厦对面的一座大楼。“巨响之后，店里的玻璃大门被震碎，吊顶被震塌。爆炸发生后大概20分钟左右看见起火了，随后不久就有消防赶来灭火了。”
